تشيل الحمول
وتسكت كتير

حَسَبتك ضعيف
وشُفتك خَمول
أتارييك مهول

تعدي السنين
تنكت وتضحك
وصبرك يطول

ولـمّا تزيد كروب الزمان
أقولك تثور
    تقوللي ياإبني
    ما آنش الأوآن
أقولك : جبان
...
...
وتيجي المفجأة
بدون إنتظار
لوحدك في ثانية
تحطّم قيودك
ومن رحم ليلك
يشقشق نهار
    غير أي نهار

يا أخويا ، يا أختي
يا عمّي ، ياخالتي
يا مصر يا أمي
يا شعبي الأصيل

هنا ، ومن بعيد
حأبوس كل راس
وأبوس كل إيد
وحأبني في قلبي مزار للشهيد

Apology

You patiently wait
Burdened
yet silent
