The Egyptian Revolutionary Council’s (ERC) spokesperson’s comments on the Human Rights Watch report on the massacre of ‘Rabaa’ that took place on August 14th, 2013.

The release of the Human Rights Watch report, after a year of the massacre of ‘Rabaa’ and ‘Alnahda’ carries several messages:
First, it confirmed that what happened in ‘Rabaa’ and ‘Alnahda’ is a premeditated crime to kill thousands of innocent citizens, and bury the Egyptian revolution.

Second, that our battle with the fascist coup and its terrorism is not a power struggle between the Brotherhood and the army, but is the battle of the Egyptian people as a whole. It is even a battle of all peoples of the world to preserve freedom and human rights, which have been violated since the Military Coup that took place on July 3rd, 2013.

Third, it is a message to a sector of the Egyptians and all Arab people that have been misled by the corrupted Egyptian media.  Maybe they will recognize and reject this media, which manipulates people every day.

Fourth, the naming of the perpetrators led by Abdel Fattah al-Sisi, Mohamed Ibrahim and Medhat Al-Minshawi, which is the first step on the road to putting them and their partners on trial.
The report was issued immediately following the announcement of the establishment of the Egyptian Revolutionary Council (ERC) to prove to skeptics that the Council and all coup oppositions are right in rejecting the coup and all that entailed.

Long live the struggle of the Egyptian people.  Long live the Egyptian revolution, the glory for the martyrs and the injured.
