Word to the New Democratic Party of Canada (NDP)
(NDP convention presented a resolution that represent a set back
in the NDP stand from the Palestinian question)
Mohamed Kamel;
Delegate to the NDP convention
NDP
shouldn’t equalize between the occupier and the people under occupation
Unfortunately, I have to strongly oppose this motion as it
equalize between the occupier and the people under occupation and, equalize
between the occupation force that created an apartheid regime, and the people
under the siege in Gaza and west bank.
In the past, NDP passed several strong resolutions that support Palestinian
people, without denying the Israeli the right to leave in peace, but calling
for a balanced resolution, is a shame for NDP delegates who live with values
and fight for justice to vote a resolution as such;
It would be shameful if the NDP convention pass such resolution, so
I am voting against this resolution, as a mater of respect to the Palestine
people and the Israelis who believe in peace and justice and in respect to our collective
value and believes.
It is better that the NDP don’t vote any resolution about the Palestinian
struggle for rights, than voting a resolution that becomes sad chapter in NDP movement.
